I was wondering why the town I live in cannot be added, and niether can the towns surrounding me, the closest one I'm able to add is 15 miles from my home, which is not close enough, because the weather here can very from there due to elevation differences. I live in... Adams, MASS., USA

please help me understanding why you can't add Adams, MA!

What did you do to find out it can't be added? On Yr.no i do find a location called "Adams", MA. And it is a populated place.
Are there more than 1 "Adams" in MA?
If so please tell us what specific "Adams" you mean, ok? Thank you!

I have attached my search result with my town and neighboring city highlited, just not sure as to why this classifacation?

The classification is up to yr.no i think. Or they could have taken it from geonames.org.
But if you want Adams, MA then you don't have to scroll to page 5 to find a location "Adams" in MA.

On the first page there's the "Adams" you mean, see screenshot (just set a location-request for this):

Hi Ted,

Administrative Division is basically the Courthouse. This is the government of your area.

Administration Centre is the County Seat or the town where the government resides. We can add to the database Administration Centre, populated place, town, and etc. We cannot add an Administrative Division or a Region.

Put a request thru Add locations as long as it is not an Administrative Division (Government) or a Region.
