Hi Mallorca,

The landscape show is not "El Escorial". El Escorial is a historical residence of the king of Spain. It is located in the town of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
More information see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/El_Escorial

The landscape show "El Valle de los Caídos" (in English: Valley of the Fallen). Valley of the Fallen is a burial place. It is erected at Cuelgamuros Valley in the Sierra de Guadarrama.
More information see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valle_de_los_Caidos

The error may have caused because both places are located in in the municipality of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, about 45 kilometres (28 miles) northwest of the Spanish capital, Madrid.

Sincerely.

Hi dc1jr,

I do not speak German. I have translated your reply with "Google".

I did not mean to bother anyone. I have lived in Madrid for 10 years and I think I know about this Spanish community. Due to this fact, this post caught my attention.

The aim of my amendment is completely informative and constructive.

Sometimes, I make mistakes too. I think it does not matter.

I admire the work of construction of the landscapes by Mallorca in this forum.
I agree with you that the pictures taken by Mallorca are beautiful.

Sincerely.

Hello kaliki,
many thanks for your informations! But I didn't know that the name of a landscape here in this forum has to fullfill exactly the wikipedia knowledge :)
Of course you are right with your correction, on the other hand I wrote "Real Monumento" and not only "El Escorial" ... so I forgot a comma and the add of San Lorenzo.
I'm very sorry about this :(
In the last years I visited 4 times these impressive and beautiful places and belive me I love this country ... I'm living here since 14 years :D
So my next landscape will be the "original" El Escorial ... the problem is to find a good picture with sky from hundreds of pics I made from the residence.

To show you and the other visitors how far the distance between the two places is:

It is 13 kilometers on street

and minus 5 kilometers on air

Best greetings from the beautiful island of Mallorca

Werner

Hello "rockmal",

I forgot a serious question asking to you: Do you have ONE own picture? On all landscapes you offered in this forum, we have to read:

Photo author: Unknown
Photo origin: Unknown

I give my permission to include my landscape inside YoWindow: YES

Everything is unknown! How can you give a license for free commercial use :?: :?: :?:

Don't worry about my question 8-)

Hi Werner!

Don't ask such questions, what you will get as a (snotty? defiant?) response you can read in this topic... :?

Hey Mallocca,

I arranged all descriptions.

I do not understand the reason for worrying about your question.

I'm calm, quiet and I do not care! :P

Bye...
