Hi Friends,
If you would like to try and see if lightning works on YoWindow Chrome, here are the steps to find thunderstorms with lightning.
1. Go to my Hiking Weather website. All of the tools are there.
2. Click onto my dropdown menu. Click onto Lightning Monitor. See which states and provinces have lightning.
3. On my home page, click on USA Region Maps (or Canadian Weather Maps) to see radar of state or province from step 2. Remember the City name nearest the storm.
4. Click onto dropdown menu for WunderMap for Ohio. Let it load. Enter name of city from step 3. Once it loads, click on radar and zoom wide if need be. Find the location that is in the heart of the storm.
5. Click onto dropdown menu for Choose A Location. Select the town from step 4 and confirm that the sky is flashing.
6. Now leave my website and go to YoWindow Chrome. Select the above town and set it as your home location. Now see if you can see lightning.
I have used the above steps on 2 of my PCs (WinXP and Win7). I find the storms and see the lightning on widget and desktop. I am not able to see the lightning on YoWindow Chrome.
