Hi friends,
I'm afraid, it is a part of the code of this site (as Homer wrote). I spent a lot of time to google to solve this problem.
As I posted before it is very easy to deactivate this bar if you have installed the Google toolbar... crazy :?
Do you had a look to your add ons?

Thank you for spending so much time on this as it seems it doesn't bother many users here!
Yes i had a look on my installed Add-Ons: nothing from google so i think Homer was right: it is up to Pavel to deactivate the bar (if he don't mind to do so)

To whomever is annoyed by the translation toolbar...
Just put translate.google.com into your websites with limited access into your browser...
Works like a charm here...

Thanks Wally,
Great workaround :!:
I installed the Google translation bar, disabled all the options and finally disabled the toolbar.
Now it no longer pops up on the forum pages!

Hi Fred,
this is the same way I posted here several times ... :?
Sometimes I have the feeling I don't speak the right language

Hi Werner,
Don't worry, that's not it!
Maybe you remember I wrote to you as an answer that I had not installed this Google translation bar (as did Reinhart).
Therefore I couldn't disable it.
I just didn't come up with the idea of installing it first, in order to disable it afterwards.
This isn't quitte a logical way of solving an issue, but Wally just pointed it out to me.
I appreciated your reaction right away, but couldn't use it at the time.
Thanks for trying to help us anyway.
Regards,
Fred

I don't want to install a piece of software just to deactivate all its functions right afterwards (what's that called? a zombie-software? dead and alive at the same time.).
Isn't it sufficient to have the combo-box within the forums-header to translate to other languages?
But as Pavel said i will remind him in a week.

I don't have the translation-bar on top of the forum anymore!
Thank you very much Pavel!
I saw that there's the "auto-display"-property set to false as
Uwe (Homer/T) suggested
