Well boy is my face red.
Sorry jackaroo, I though the auto detect for the temperature units was based on your visitor's IP address. Obviously I was wrong.

All this time I had thought visitors to my site from outside the U.S. were seeing the temperature in Celsius but they were not. Excuse me while I go bang my head against the wall. :(

Don,

It took me a while to answer you, but here is my website: http://www.worldweatherpost.com/

I would very much appreciate it if people could have a look at it. I am also using autodetection for the location. Actually it would be very interesting if I could get some feedback on the weather station selection also.

Currently,on the website, I have added php code to recognize the country from the IP address and select the unit_system accordingly. It seemed to work on the few test I did, but it was a small sample.

Thanks,

Jackaroo

Hi Jackaroo!

On your site the unit is ok for me (metric here in Vienna, Austria); only the location is Breclav - but as location detection is IP-based it always will be some kind of luck.

The location and the unit system are correct for me.

Location and units OK for me - Umeå and metric. Weekdays are in English but that was expected, right?

Thanks for the feedback. This is very useful to me. Yes, days of the week in English is what is intended, since it is an English website.

Hi Jackaroo,

This is working great for me!
I see Celcius instead of Fahrenheit now.
My location was alright the first time already.
