Thanks, Jim, yes there are a lot of free or payed sound websites.
Right now all the sounds in YoWindow are from http://freesound.org.
By the way, in the next build all the sound samples will be mentioned in About window.

I have found a couple of decent sites with payed samples (not expensive, around $20 each).
We will look through them and hopefully find nice wind sound.
Thanks for the links, I will look into these archives.

Hi Pasha,

You asked if I watch movies on my Toshiba.
I got rid of TV because cable was going to cost too much.
I watch the News on the ASUS and the Toshiba - the sound is perfect.
I watch videos from YouTube on the ASUS and the Toshiba - the sound is perfect.
I will try to watch a movie on the Toshiba this weekend.
I have watched movies on the ASUS - the sound is perfect.

When the only sound YoWindow had was fireworks, the Toshiba was louder than the ASUS.
RC b114 (before you lowered the sound), the fireworks were louder on the Toshiba than the ASUS.
The ASUS was louder with other sounds than the Toshiba.

With adjusted options.xml, the sound quality is better on the Toshiba than the ASUS.
But the ASUS is louder.

My RC preference is b114. I will test b121 later.

Hi, Marty!

I kind of get lost in the ocean of information

I assume that now the problem computer is Toshiba.
You cannot hear fireworks on Toshiba when YoWindow sound level is set to maximum and Windows sound level is on max.

Please try the following.

1. Open this video in YouTube ;)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bZkp7q19f0

2. Set the sound level in YouTube player to a comfortable value.
That is important - set the volume COMFORTABLE, not too loud, not too low.
Let me know the value.

3. Let me know the value of Windows sound level.

I hope this information will help me to understand how much different is the sound output on your Toshiba laptop.

Hi Pasha,

I did this 2 different ways.

With my Toshiba speakers at 100%, I adjusted the YouTube slider to 50%.

Hey everyone,

Regarding the sound volume, I didn't see anyone mention Window's volume mixer, where you can adjust the volume of your programs individually, so I thought I would bring it up in case it might help.

Thanks, Don!
Thanks, Marty!

Marty, make sure to check Windows volume mixer.
Could it happen if YoWindow volume slider went down occasionally?
