Hi there! I noticed that YoWindow is currently showing the wrong time for Paraguay.

As of October 2024, Paraguay no longer switches between daylight saving and standard time — we now stay on UTC-3 all year. But the app seems to have automatically moved the clock back by one hour, like it used to before this change. That means the time displayed is now one hour behind the real local time.

It looks like this setting is built into the app and doesn’t follow the device clock or allow manual adjustment. Could you please check and update the timezone configuration for Paraguay?

Thanks a lot!

Apologies if this isn’t the right place to post this — I wasn’t sure where to report timezone-related issues.

Hi!
I just have tested the time in Asuncion.
YoWindow is displaying the time properly (-3 GMT).
Which location are you watching?
Did you choose the location manually or it was automatically detected for your location?
Get YoWindow weather app for your phone or tablet.

Hi!

Thanks for your reply.

I’ve just double-checked the issue using my Xiaomi TV Box. I tested both options:
– Setting date and time provided by the network
– Setting date and time manually (UTC-3)

In both cases, YoWindow still shows the incorrect time (one hour behind the actual local time in Paraguay).

I also reviewed the app settings, and there doesn’t seem to be any configuration related to time zone or daylight saving adjustments.

I manually selected "Asunción" as the location within the app, just to make sure it wasn’t an auto-detection issue, but the incorrect time persists.

Let me know if you need more details or if there’s something else I can try. Thanks again for your time!

Just to add some extra information:

Regardless of whether my device is set to automatic date and time (from the network) or manual time (UTC-3), the system clock always shows the correct time.

The issue is only within the YoWindow app itself — the clock displayed there is one hour behind the actual local time in Paraguay. Everything else on my device shows the correct time.

Just wanted to clarify this in case it helps identify the issue.
Thanks again!

Thanks for your question.

I usually use YoWindow on my TV through a Xiaomi TV Box, which runs Android TV. That's where I first noticed the issue.

But now that you mention it, I also installed the app on my phone — and the same problem happens there too. The app still shows the incorrect time.

I remember you mentioned that you tested the app using the "Asunción" location, but I was wondering: did you double-check with another source to confirm that the time you saw for Asunción was actually correct?

Thanks again for following up!
