YoWindow Exit / Tray Icon

Post by Jeff »

I run YoWindow manually and have it as a screensaver.

When the screensaver kicks in and YoWindows runs, if you move the mouse, YoWindow does an Exit (assuming you have the "Close screensaver on mouse move" option enabled).

When I run YoWindow manually, I noticed that if I use the X in the top right corner to close the program, it just minimizes down to the system tray. I do NOT like this :!: Instead, I need to click on the Program menu and choose Exit -OR- hit the Esc key.

Hitting the Esc key is not a problem, but I would also like to see an option to allow the X button (in the top right corner of the Window) to actually perform an Exit (like the Esc key) or NOT minimize the program to the system tray, however you would like to word it. :)

Thanks in advance and keep up the great work.

Jeff, we tend to think that every new option is evil because the user needs to understand one more thing to operate the program.

Many Windows software these days minimize the window to tray when you click [x] button.
Take a look at Skype, for example.

I want to be honest, we will not add this option because I think there is no necessity for most users.

I may be wrong.
If 5 more users will ask for this option we will add it.

I'm sorry.
Get YoWindow weather app for your phone or tablet.
