Today we officially release National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts for United States.

People say NWS forecasts are much precise for the USA than the forecasts by yr.no.
Who does the better job for your area - you decide.

However, we have made NWS as the default weather provider for US.

You may notice that NWS provides less forecast days than yr.no, usually 6.
This is the weather service limitation.
Sorry, we just cannot give you more days.

You may always fall back to yr.no forecasts.
To receive the weather forecast from yr.no for US locations do the following.
1. Go to Options/Advanced/Weather.
2. Uncheck "NWS forecasts for the USA" check-box.
3. Press F5 to update the weather forecast.

Enjoy true US weather forecasts :-)

If you are a true meteorologist and wondering who is the best yr.no or NWS you may like these statistics.

The statisitcs was collected and composed by Marty Crawford.
Thank you much!

Marty says:
NWS is slightly more accurate on temperature by 1 or 2 degrees fahrenheit.
YR.NO is more accurate on sky conditions.
When you are an outdoor sports enthusiast, the sky condition is the important factor.

Have a look

The weather data is provided for KMFD station - Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport
