I've finally found a solution. With the speak-future from Google I can "say" the locations, then I get a list of all matching locations. When I tap one it gets added.

Nope, no crashes when I do that.

Okay now it's even worse than before.
I used to add locations by fysically being there, and then use the "use my location" option.
But now, when I do that, the app also crashes.
