New number is too small on the crome bar

In the last couple days the temperature number thats in the little extension box in the top right-hand corner of the chrome window has gotten smaller and for me its in white text and a blue background.
Im sitting on the couch with my tv hooked up to the pc so its pretty near impossible to read it clearly without a telescope.
Please can you offer a solution in way of either changing it back or giving us the option to increase its size to however large we'd like?
Larger than before would be very much ideal for me!
