YoWindows appears to be down
YoWindows appears to be down
For the past 12 hours or so, I've been able to get the current weather, but not anything for the rest of the day or the rest of the week. I get a "No weather" notification. I've tried switching from my home location to several other locations that I've stored on the computer, but the results are the same. Hopefully the problem will be rectified soon... I'm very much a fan of the program, and use it frequently to plan ahead for the week.

Hi Howard,
Welcome to YoWindow.
What are the locations that you are having problems with?
We cannot check anything out without knowing the locations.
Thank you in advance.

Re: YoWindows appears to be down
Hey, Marty. My home page is Newark NJ (07104), and it's still not working. Louisville, KY, a secondary location, also just displays the current temperature, but there's no data for the rest of the day or the rest of the week. I also tried Los Angeles. Same result. I get the current weather conditions, but there's nothing else.
Thanks for looking into this.

Re: YoWindows appears to be down
Hi Howard,
There seems to be a problem with the NWS forecast right now.
I have let Pasha know about this.
Try this for me and let me know how it works for you.
On the Desktop,
Click on Options > Advanced > Weather.
Remove the check mark for NWS and click on Apply.
Pick a location and press F5.
Do you have a forecast now?
If you do, that forecast is now coming from yr.no instead of NWS.
Let us know how this works.
Marty

Re: YoWindows appears to be down
Marty-
Thanks for the update. I actually don't have YoWindow installed on my desktop. I use the Google Chrome extension, which doesn't have the option for inactivating NW (at least that I can find). Prior to writing to you, I had checked the program on Internet Explorer, just to make sure that it wasn't a Chrome issue. Hopefully the NW server (wherever or whatever that is!) will be up and running soon.... if not, I'll install the program on my desktop and see what happens.
Thanks for your courtesies, and have a great day-
