font problem on MI Box S and 4K TV

Post by CloharsCarnoet »

Good morning all
I installed the YoWindow application on my MI Box S Android Box connected to a Philips Ambilight 4K TV. Everything worked fine until the day when, one morning, the font became bizarre, impossible to read correctly the inscriptions on the screen! (see images)
Of course I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but it's still the same ... Can someone help me understand? :good:

We have received this error report from several users.
So far - I have no idea what is the source of the problem.
Probably, there is some system settings that impacts font display?

Thanks Par
I specify that it worked very well for ten days and that there was no update in the meantime of the Xiaomi Box ... Maybe we should wait for a YoWindow update?

I don't know how to fix this, unfortunately.
I hope we to find the clue in the future.

That looks more like poor deintelacing, or the Mi Box wrongly performing interlacing on a progressive source. I think this is a known issue where instead of performing full-motion deintelacing (converting every field to one frame) it performs half motion deinterlacing (converting every other field to a frame).
