I cannot resist to share this news with you.
We have almost finished porting YoWindow to HTML5.
That means that YoWindow has a very good chance to be available on Androids, Windows phones and Windows ARM devices soon.
Bug reports are very welcome.

Have a look. You need to make sure your browser supports WebGL in order to see the picture.
It works in Google Chrome, but I'm not sure about the others.
This is another reason why we are so slow on new features.
I hope we will surprise you soon

Re: YoWindow in HTML5
Hi Pasha,
I just tried some fast testing.
I may have to upgrade some of my browsers and do a thorough test.
I prefer IE8 to IE9 and IE10 - It does not work on IE8 - my entire screen is Blue.
My current versions of FireFox and Opera do the same as IE8 - my entire screen is Blue.
My current version of Safari almost works - I have a potrait box in center of screen and it is Blue.
Chrome works fantastic - ip locator works and displays my location with all information.
When I hover on the swipe arrow, I can drag it back and forth to see the change of time.
Settings work and landscapes work.
I tried on my Androids. The ip locator did not work. I had to use the location lookup.
On my Gingerbread, the location lookup worked but no landscape or information displayed for the location.
I have a lot of games on my Gingerbread. That could be causing the problem.
On my Ice Cream Sandwich, the location lookup worked and Village displayed for the selected location.
Clouds and Wild Flowers were moving with the wind.
No weather information displayed.
The swipe arrow displays below the bottom of my screen.
Hopefully, this information helps you for now.
Marty

Re: YoWindow in HTML5
Hi Pasha,
This is looking great!
A few of my first impressions:
- Works in Chrome, not IE8, like you said.
- Works on my Android ICS, but screen is bigger than my display.
- When turning the device it does go to landscape, but only the upper half. The lower half of the screen is blue then.
- When turning back to portrait it goes further out of scale. I can only see about a quarter of the screen then (fully displayed).
Hope this helps.
Fred

Re: YoWindow in HTML5
Thank you, friends, I'm glad to see you on this thread!
Werner, in which parts of YoWindow you have noticed missing German letters.
Which umlauts missing for sure?
All of them?
For HTML I use the same text images as for iPhone edition.
If a character is missing in HTML5 it is missing in iPhone and iPad which is quite a severe problem.
Guys, thanks for testing in various browsers and devices.
But this early version is not supposed to work on IE 8-10 or Android or iPhone.
This is just a lot of code we have migrated from Flash version.
When the time for the real production versions for browsers and devices comes, I will let you know.
Herman please don't use HTML5 on website for the final audience.
It is downloaded very slow and will not be seen in most browsers as I mentioned above.
But thanks so much for thorough testing.

Re: YoWindow in HTML5
Hi Pasha,
I can not check in iPhone or iPad because I don't have such an expensive playmobile
Here the results of my tests (allways the latest version of browser):
window is frozen, only "cancel" is activ
this warning is seen and after click "allow" youwill see this:
on IE 10 the screen shows this ... but you told us it is not supposed to work
Werner

Werner, thank you for the detailed report!
I'm sorry I did not understand the meaning of red marks.
Though I understand the smile faces
Can you explain what exactly is wrong in the places you have marked in red?

Re: YoWindow in HTML5
Hi Pasha,
Thanks to Werner's screen shots, there are 2 bugs with the HTML5 code.
Werner's screen shots show the 12 hour AM/PM clock.
In the USA, I am only seeing the 24 hour clock.
In the USA, when I load the HTML5 code from Chrome
the temperature for my location shows in Celsius.
I have to click on settings to change to fahrenheit.
Hopefully, this is an easy fix.
Marty
