Gimp Transparency

Post by 2BadRic »

I downloaded Gimp.....Clicked on "layers"....clicked on transparency,,,and when the list dropped down, all was "grayed out"...Have I done something wrong? I downloaded Gimp twice and have the same problem.

Hi Rich,
I'm sorry, but we are not the right forum to teach you how to use software. Please inform you by the good tutorials from Gimp and the video tutorials on youtube.

An image needs to be open in order to add an alpha channel...

Probably the image already has a transparent layer...

Try opening another picture...see what gives...

Hi Rich,

I don't have any Gimp experience myself, sorry.
I was just wondering if you read the FAQ on this: http://yowindow.com/live_sky_picture.php?
If not: Does this help?

Goodluck,
Fred
