Hi Pasha!
When you look at the sun movement in the Yowindow picture,
there is a feeling that middle of the picture is at south.
But when you look at the clouds moving on the sky, you instead gets a feeling of
looking at north.
Of course, you could change the wind animation direction, but many persons will be
confused by the fact that the clouds are moving in one direction and wind arrows are pointing
in the opposite direction.
So, I am sorry but I have no suggestion!

Re: North and South problem with Yowindow picture.
Hey, Litto daddy!
Shame on me, I have not noticed this contradiction before.
These are my decisions that made YoWindow work this way.
1. I'm sure zenith of the sun must be in the center.
This makes the picture look better.
Because of this, the center of the picture is south.
Because of this, the west assumed to be on the right and the east is on the left.
2. When you look at the wind direction arrow you assume the north is at the top.
3. Matching wind direction in the picture with the direction of the wind arrow is natural.
Also, when the wind blows from the left, and you don't see the sun, most people would assume the wind is blowing from the west.
If we change one of these decisions, we may loose a bit of YoWindow magic and I'm sure some users will complain.
Yes the model is quite confusing.
Especially for the astronomers.
But, YoWindow is not ideal, you look at the 2D model of the 3D world.
Thank you for care!

Hi Pasha!
Behavior could be controlled with options!
Many people like me, finds YoWindow amazing, showing weather and colors that matches the actual weather outside. My window is at south so even sun and often the moon matches the screen.
So everything is great except that little irritating fact that clouds always moves in the opposite direction.
But there is a solution to that!
How wind direction affects the screen could be controlled by an option.
If the wind direction should be display as an arrow or perhaps NNE, North-North-East or 22 degrees could also be controlled by options.
But current behavior should be default!

Re: North and South problem with Yowindow picture.
Hey!
I agree, let's make an option.
We need to make up a good, easy, non-confusing name for this option.
Can you help me?
The best version I have is the following
Wind direction control:
West wind blows from the left, East wind blows from the right [o]
East wind blows from the left, West wind blows from the right [ ]
As soon as we have a good name, I will add this option to the next build of YoWindow.
It's easy to program this feature.

Hi Pasha!
My suggestion:
Wind direction control:
Looking at north, West wind blows from the left [o]
Looking at south, East wind blows from the left [ ]
But perhaps someone else have any idea!
