Rain – 30 minutes light rain or A really rainy day

Better indication of expected amount of precipitation (How sexy is this line!)

Hi!

I would like to get a direct indication from a rain symbol, how much rain will it be.
Will it only be light rain, eventually just for a short time or will the day really be a rainy day.

The weather site Yr.no, reports for every forecast period expected precipitation.
My suggestion is that this value should control selected symbols at all places these symbols are displayed. Where symbols represent a whole day, the sum of the precipitation for that day might be considered.

I understand that yr.no will indicate heavy rain, if that is expected ( more than 6 mm in 4 hours) but
they seem to never indicate light rain.

I would like to see the same for snow!

I understand that in some cases there might be problems to select the most appropriate symbol.

This is a proposition for the future and not for next week!

Yes, exactly!
Yr.no misses light-rain indication.
I was thinking about this feature.
Daddylito, great details!
When the time comes for the feature I will certainly do it the way you propose.

Thank you!

Hi again!

I found this page, decribing symbols used by yr.no
http://www.yr.no/informasjon/1.1940495

First column is daytime
Second column is nighttime
Third column is daytime darkness (near north-pole at winter)

As you see, there is also no symbols for light nor heavy snow

Yeah, I've seen this page.
And I have used this page to properly convert yr.no data for YoWindow.

Definitely no light-rain or snow, yes we have to make it by our own hands.

:)
Don't worry about Pasha/Sasha, by the way Sasha is my Father's name
