Michelle, I was happy to read the good news, I wish Steven will recover soon

As of today 6/27, Steven is doing very well. He is now walking with a cane by himself (even though he doesn't really use it). Physical, speech and occupational therepies all say he is doing extremely well. As of now the plan for discharge to home will be Saturday, 7/2. Can't wait to have him back home where he belongs. Will probably update again when he's home.

Great News!!!!!!!!!!!!! Steven made it home today! He wasn't to be released until 7/2, but he was doing so good they decided to let him come home today(6/30) He will have to go 3 times per week for 3 hrs./day for more rehab., but he's home.

Way to go Steve !!!

Happy 4th of July...

As of yesterday, Steven is done with his physical, occupational, & speech therepies. It was 2 months ago on the 8th that he had his brain surgery. Between being in the hospital & then rehab. hospital, he was in for a total of 23 days. Then 4 more weeks for outpatient therepy. He is now running faster than the pt therepist! His eyesight is now about 98%. His biggest hurdle now is to continue on with the exercises the speech therepist gave him. The surgery can affect muscles, which the tongue is one. So he needs to continue on with the exercises to get better control of it so that his words come out clearer.Just thought I'd give those interested a very good update!!
