Hi Pasha,
The Netherlands is a small country, so I think it would be suitable to update the seasonmaps for all of the country.
Could you please change the data as follows:
- Spring starts at March 20th
- Summer starts at June 21st
- Autumn starts at Sept 23th
- Winter starts at Dec 22nd
The only thing over here is that allthough it's winter, we don't allways have snow.
So I would like to ask you to have the naked season from Nov 15th (leaves are gone) untill March 19th.
As soon as we have snow, I'll let you know
If anyone from the Netherlands disagrees with these dates, please give your local dates :!:
Thanks.
Fred
Seasons in The Netherlands
Re: Seasons in The Netherlands
Hello Fred!
Starting a new topic with the same content as discussed in a other topic, seems to me a little bit odd.
Remember, this I what the Yowindow team requested:
“You have to provide 3 days to me.
The days when the nature significantly changes at your place.
Explanation
1. Spring starts. Green leaves appear on the trees. The day the buds burst on the trees.
2. Autumn starts. Foilage gets yellow and red. The day there are more yellow leaves than green ones.
3. Leaves are gone. No foilage on the trees. The day almost all the leaves have fallen.”
The text explains “Spring starts”, "Autumn starts " and does not mention seasons, winter nor snow!
In Sweden we have a saying, Don´t snow into a subject, meaning don't get caught/captured/trapped of that subject”.
Fred,
Don´t snow into the seasons, Don´t snow into the winter and Don't snow into the snow.
My guess is that most of trees drop there leafs several weeks before X-Mas in Holland as well in Germany and at other locations in Europe at the same latitude.

Hi Daddylito,
Thanks for your comment.
Not quitte sure if I could follow you though.
I just tried to be as specific as I could. If thats not correct or maybe even too much, I'm sure someone at YoWindow will let me know.
Regards,
Fred

Hi Pasha,
Could you please add nov. 15th as the date that all the leaves are gone, since most off them have right now
Thanks in advance.

Hi, Fred!
The day when the leaves are gone in Netherlands has already been set to nov 15.
Didn't YoWindow dislplay naked season for your place in the Netherlands?

Hi Pasha,
You're absolutely right. I saw it after my request.
But since I posted it after midnight, it was a bit too dark to see, sorry.
Anyway, that certainly was a good prediction :!:
Thanks for everything.
