Hi, guys!
No news - good news.

Adobe has made a modification to Flash Player that makes YoWindow unable to run.

YoWindow will not be able to work on Windows in Flash Player 20.0.0.267.
All you to see is a black screen.

[Message for Windows 8 and 8.1 users]

Windows 8 and 8.1 will get an update for flash player 20.0.0.272 on January 12th.
See https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2053723 ... 0&tstart=0

Until we receive our update, please see viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23504&start=50#p62078

[UPDATE 4]

Microsoft has issued an official fix for this problem...

https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/kb/3133431

I will register and react appropriately this evening...

It is simply beyond belief that Adobe did this without taking

into consideration thousands of users and developers...

Thx for the warning though I think YoWindow will stop working on my Mac

because it will force me to update one way or another...

That is delayed warning. The Adobe Flash Player Active X was automatically updated yesterday to 20.0.0.267 version. At this version YoWindow does not run. This plugin is also very important for many other applications and it would be not good to manipulate with it. I do not believe it is a big problem for YoWindow creators and I am sure we will see YoWindow running again very soon. Now I still remain :(

Will it be fixed? I'm rather fond of it.

I couldn't run YoWindow 4 earlier on my Win7 machine - all I saw was a dark grey screen with a header rail.

So I tried uninstalling it, then reinstalling.

But it won't even download now, the install option shows 'do you want to run', then just freezes.

So then I checked this forum and found that it was due to an Adobe update, which regrettably I now have....

Hopefully this will all be resolved reasonably soon as I really miss YoWindow.

Have you tried a system restore to a previous date..?

If successful...Disable the auto update function in Adobe Flash...

Or block it in your firewall from accessing the internet...

I'd rather not do a system restore just yet - I'll wait for a while and see whether the geeks at Adobe can sort out the problems they've caused..... :(

Having had a look at the Adobe forums, it seems that 20.0.0.267 is causing a whole load of problems to other software applications using ActiveX....

They need to get this sorted pronto if they're no to lose yet more credibility.

From the blog postings it looks like Adobe is putting its foot down...

Citing security concerns to sway developers into using Adobe Air which unfortunately does not allow for active-X

components to be executed properly...

Also...with the holiday season...don't expect any resolution soon...
