I tryed to cut some pics, but I can't :S
the software is GIMP2 .....i don't know how to cut and then taking the pic without sky
can someone explain me how to do it please ?

try doing a search on the internet: gimp, transparent background.
However open the image and right click, then choose levels, transparency, set the alpha channel, then select with the magic wand at the sky and then edit and cut ...

Works fabulous, now to get it into the widget..

This is such a cool feature! I was thinking about trying it, now I think I'm gonna go for it for sure! I have a lot of great ideas for backgrounds I would like to do. I even have an idea to use these images essentially as a screen saver on my lg led tv. I was thinking that I could accomplish this by running the video output to one of the aux ins, and switch to that channel when I'm not watching television. It might sound silly, but I think it would be pretty neat. Thank you very much for this very informative post!
