I just have tested YoWindow daydream on Sony Xperia Z3. It works flawlessly at leat in preview mode.
I'm using remote test lab - where I can operate a real device via web interface.
I wonder what might be the cause of the failure.
Have no idea.

I do not know, I before upgrading to 6.0, and failed, if I could send you a video of the screen ...

I am having the exact same problem with my new Galaxy S7 - Android 6.0.1.

The screen is basically black when daydream kicks in.

I first found this out because I use Lucid Daydream, which can display the system wallpaper (in my case, YoWindow) and it would actually run for a while (5 mins?) then give an error that YoWindow has stopped. Sometimes it would restart, other times, just black screen. So I shut off Lucid Daydream and used YoWindow directly as the daydream to troubleshoot. I now see the behavior described in this post; I may get 2 seconds of YoWindow, then the whole screen goes black.

Another observation - if I turn off full screen in YoWindow daydream, I get the notification bar showing, but the rest of the screen is black. Full screen=total black. Both will run YoWindow for 2-3 seconds before this happens as it goes to daydream.

Hope this helps for diagnosis...

I figured out that my device is set to autolock 5 seconds after screen shutoff, which corresponds to when Yowindow is blanked out while daydreaming. It doesn't appear to be able to show with a lock screen activated.

I just installed the beta. It's interesting - the "Remove ads Get Full Version" stays, but everything else disappears once the background lock engages. I see the lock screen flicker on just before YoWindow gets blocked out. None of the other lock programs seem to be affected by this, so hopefully there will be a way to get around this problem for YoWindow as I really love it.
