What's new?

- New user interface design for Settings/Locations/Landscapes updated (Action Bar style).

- New location search.
This is one of the most anticipated features in YoWindow.
We expect that you could add any place on Earth right inside the app.
Instead of browsing through country/location lists you just type the name of city or village you are looking for.
YoWindow instantly provides you with the list of best matched locations.
Tap on the location you were looking for and you are done.

Feel free to type the location name in your language!

This feature is massive.
We've spent a lot of time redesigning the app and the server side of YoWindow.
Don't expect it to be perfect right away.
Please report all the problems you to find in this thread.

The problem of Johnsville raised by Marty is being solved, we need several days to finish the work.

Hi Pasha,

I have tested this on my NextBook only.
This version makes me very unhappy.
I want to be able to browse thru the Country/City lists the way we have been doing.

If I want to add Saint Petersburg now, I have to key in Saint Petersburg and then select from a list.
Before all I had to do was scroll to Russia and then scroll to Saint Petersburg. (2 clicks versus 17 keying and a click).

Plus the initial location GPS or geolocation finder found a church one mile from me.
I want the way it was before. Before it found my location as Mansfield, Ohio.
That worked. Now, I cannot find Mansfield, Ohio at all.

For now, my only option is to go back to the previous version.
I am not testing on any of my other androids.

Please let us have the option of browsing the previous way. PLEASE!!!!!

Initial Location found and set as my Home Location - WRONG!!!

Location search list - PROBLEM!!

Some how I found Mansfield airport - but I want Mansfield, Ohio!!!

My locations now - I do not want either one of them!!!

Hi Pasha,

I was finally able to find Mansfield, Ohio by doing something external from YoWindow Android App.

Look at the attached screenshots.
Look at how many towns in the United States are named Mansfield.
Just like Johnsville needed the county name, the Android App needs the state name.

My external source was the Add Locations script that shows the state name.
The two lists looked like they might be in the same order.
Mansfield, England is the first one.
Mansfield, Texas should be the second one.
Mansfield, Ohio should be the third one.

After adding the third one, I compared everything to the Mansfield Lahm Airport.
For now, everything compares correctly.

Number 1 priority is to add the state name.
You then need to add the county name to both Add Locations and to the Android App.

Even after you do the needed refinements to Search for a Location,
I would still want the capability to browse thru Country and City the way we have been doing.

Without scrolling thru Country and Location list, I am not able to put places like
Mount Washington, New Hampshire (the windiest METAR station in the World) on YoWindow Android App.
It is at the top of a mountain and is not a town. It is a research station.

Look at the Mansfield list for the World - look at the USA with no state names.

Look at the Mansfield list in Add Locations - the state name is there.
