Hi Pasha,

My current Androids are -

Samsung Galaxy Prevail - 2.3.6
Kyocera Rise - 4.0.4
Kyocera Hydro - 4.0.4

Both Kyoceras experienced the 30 second delay of displaying temperature and sky with YoWindow wallpaper and too many widgets.

Hopefully, I will be adding an Android tablet for testing and my own personal use.
I am still studying all the reviews on the ones that I am interested in.

:)

Thanks, Marty!
If you just run YoWindow Alpha standalone on Kyocera, will you notice the delay?
Get YoWindow weather app for your phone or tablet.

Well just this morning it happened when I went to turn on YoWindow wallpaper. I went to live wallpapers, then Yowindow and that error message displayed. Yesterday I remember trying to go in to my email when it happened. Able to reproduce the error when I try getting YoWindow wallpaper.

I've removed the widgets so I'll see if this issue continues to happen when I'm not doing anything related to Yowindow.
This helps a lot, thank you.
The wallpaper is the reason.
It was happening when I didn't have wallpaper running also.

Hi Pasha,

I removed the widget from my Kyocera Hydro.
I turned it off and restarted it.

As a stand-alone Android icon with one location (Mansfield), YoWindow displayed fast every time I clicked on the icon.
Fast means that instant or before the count of 1.
The stand-alone works as it should.

So I added a widget again for Mansfield.
Yesterday, I had Son Servera as a location.
I deleted it yesterday, as I thought too many locations would slow YoWindow.
When I clicked on the widget that I just added, Son Servera displayed.

Where are the locations being cached?
I am continually clearing my cache.
The added widget keeps displaying locations that I have deleted.

I hope this is easy to solve.

Yesterday I witnessed a strange crash on my SGN phone. Whether it was just a coincidence or not, but it happened at the same time when the phone notified me about new updates available in Google Play. A minute earlier everything was working fine.
As a result of the crash:
1. The wallpaper was gone (and never auto-restored). I had to manually add it again.
2. All YoWindow widgets (I had 3) turned into useless bricks, looking like this:

Nothing happened when I tapped on those widgets. The only thing I could do with them is to remove them from the phonetop.
3. The app restored its default location set, i.e. all my locations were gone.

I'll keep an eye on this and will post an update if I manage to reproduce this again.

YoWindow and its widgets would behave this way (items 2 and 3) if program settings were deleted.
I wonder if something could wipe out the settings file.
I wish I could repeat this disaster on my Galaxy Tab 2.
Thanks!
Again, very valuable.

Guys, has anyone else noticed a similar error?

Quite interesting Marty, I will try to reproduce this error tomorrow.
Thank you!

Widgets are definitely unstable.

Regarding the battery consumption, here are my observations. Two phones:
1. LG GT540, 3" screen, 320x480 px, Android 2.3.7.
2. Samsung Galaxy Note, 5.3" screen, 800x1280 px, Android 4.0.4.

Results:
1. On a smaller phone, the YoWindow wallpaper has been running for almost 24h, and the battery has discharged from 100% to 40% only. Quite reasonable, I would say.
2. On a bigger phone, it's draining the battery way beyond "reasonable". Right now I have the phone charging from a laptop's USB slot and the battery level is decreasing. True, the USB port only gives 0.5A, while the standard charger for this phone gives 1.0A. But still, I managed to charge this phone from USB (slower, yes) - when I didn't have YoWindow wallpaper.

Something happened last night, maybe to coincide with the new Google Play ( They have just released books to Indonesia). My two widgets were showing but when you tap Jakarta it does not show on the main screen. I tried many times last night to add Jakarta onto the main screen resulting in the program force closing. This morning I tried again and there was no problem. I live in an area with a bad signal, so perhaps this had something to do with it as well.
Screen shots below.
