Warsaw - raining when there is no rain!

See "Weather expired" or "No weather"? Probably your weather station is not reliable. Let us know - we will help.

Warsaw - raining when there is no rain!

Post by arciszk » Thu Sep 04, 2014 6:47 pm

Dear YoWindow 4 Administrators,

Outside my window Warsaw, Poland has since many days excellent weather. On YoWindow screen, however, it rains, all the time.

It drives me crazy.

Could you please do something for a friendly Pole and liberate Warsaw/Warszawa from these torrential rains?

Hi arciszk,

it's really strange. I checked the location properties of Warsaw and it showed me EPWA as the metar-station. That's from the Frederic Chopin airport nearby, so the weather should be quite accurate.

I will move the topic to the "unreliable metar stations" section of the forum where the chances are higher that one of my colleagues will find out what's going on with Warsaw.

Hi,

Raining, raining, raining - cats & dogs, day & night ---

Could anything be done to correct this crazy Warsaw climatic pattern?

Regards,

Hi,

I can't tell you what's going wrong (yet).
But we are looking into it.

As soon as we've found something we'll let you know.
In the meantime I would like to know if you are using the Windows PC app, are you?

Thanks for your patience.

Hi,

Yes, it's Windows 7 on my PC.

Btw, let me report that also Piastów - 10 or so km West of Warsaw - has constant rains, but not Piaseczno - 10 or so km South of Warsaw.

Hi,

I saw it too.
We haven't changed anything though.
Maybe the METAR has been fixed.

Please let us know if it happens again.
Thanks for your patience.

Looks oke here.

Does it help to close the program with Ctrl-Q and restart it?

No, sorry, it doesn't help.

Heavy rain (max deszcz) now.
