Hi Par,

For sofar I can see the option to use F11, for switching between window and full-screen,
will not work anymore since build 35/36.
In build 29 everything was ok, but at the moment F11 will not work anymore.
Further I saw that many languagefiles are empty in build 36!

I cannot repeat the problem with F11.
F11 works for me.

It could happen that some other software on your computer catches F11.

Does anyone else experience this problem, guys?

Yes there is a problem with language files, will be fixed in the upcoming build.

Hi Pasha,

I still have YoWindow 3 Alpha b27 along with YoWindow 3 Beta b36. I just want to be able to compare things for a while.

On b27, I can press F11 and desktop will go to fullscreen. I can then press F11 and it will go back to desktop. I can repeat this over and over again. It works perfectly.

On b36, I can press F11 and desktop will go to fullscreen. I can then press F11 all I want and it stays at fullscreen. I then click on the X at the bottom right corner to go back to desktop. F11 will now no longer work. It will not take you to fullscreen except for that first time. Plus, once I have pressed F11 that first time, I can no longer do a Ctrl Q to exit from b36. I have to go to options and click on exit.

Once you do an options exit and come back into b36, you can press F11 again and will work that first time only. Then you are back in the above situation.

This is on my Win7. I have not tried it out on my WinXP.

Hope this is easy to fix.

I was trying to repeat the error with b38.
And I just cannot.
I do this on Win 7.


Do you still see this problem with b38?

Assume you still experience the error.
After first time you press F11, the keys seem no longer work.
Try to click inside the window with mouse.
After click press F11.
Will this work?

Hi Par,

I was a bit too enthousiast in my previous post.
F11 will still not work ok in build 38.
It seems to work for a little time, but later I've got the same problems.
To get too work F11, you have to click everytime with your mouse in the program area.
Than F11 will work for a single time. Everytime you will use F11, you have first
to click with te mousebutton in the program area!

Theo is right .. you have to click into the window area and then F11 works.
But my question to Theo: do you think this feature is so important for 99,99 % of all user? Nearly nobody -besides specialists- is using shortcuts ... or do you have other experience?

Although i'm not Theo i have to "shout" in: i'm not considering me being a specialist but i heavenly use shortcuts wherever possible. I think keyboard-usage isn't a sign of specialists, definitely not. I'm in the process of switching from PC to Mac and the first thing i do currently is to collect keyboard-shortcuts.
I think "nearly nobody" is a too hard generalization - "we" are no minority.
But before it's becoming more offtopic i'm going to stop

I don't think this feature is so important to 99,99% of the YoWindow users.
But, in my opinion, a shortcut as F11 works fine and has worked fine in previous builds.
If I spreak for myself, I am a perfectionist, and available shortcuts as F11 should work.
They aren't implemented if they not were usefull, so they should work or can better be removed.
Not very important at all, but as a matter of principle.

I am sorry if I have "stepped somebody on the feet".
But I stay with my opinion that this point is important only to specialists!
And I am surprised that my opinion causes such an intense reaction
Is it not longer allowed to say opinions here any more?
