Being in Options window try to remove the location currently selected in Application.
It is not removed from the Combo-Box until you press OK or Apply.
2. Again, this is a metaphor of Options window, until you click OK or Apply the changes you do is only a preview. And they are valid in the context of Options window.

When a user renaming a file in Windows Explorer, she presses F2 and then entering the name.
She sees the name is changing.
So she must be thinking that the real file name is changing at the same time.
But we know that it is not.
