Hi Pasha,
I just upgraded to b1.
Everything went fine, but my users settings (such as Bft) were lost.

[ELUSIVE] User settings not saved after upgrade

Perhaps to put up her hoof at the top of the door of the barn?Mallorca wrote:Hi Pasha,
I had to set the location new, but the rest was the same as before .... but, why is milli now walking on top of the roof???
Werner
PS: I've lost my locations too.
This happens when you don't close YoWindow 3 properly, thus resulting in a Runtime C++ error.

Re: User settings not saved after upgrade
Guys, at the moment Yo3 does not read Yo2 options.
Right now these are 2 separate programs.
No connection at all.
This is intentional to let you run both inpependently to compare the features.
There is no such a feature as "upgrade".
Please do not migrate to Yo3.
Don't make it your default YoWindow
Upgrade to Yo3 will be available closer to the release date.

Re: User settings not saved after upgrade
Maybe I didn't make myself clear enough.
With upgrading I meant from b0 to b1.
YoWindow can't be closed by the "X" at the right top.
You need to quit by CTRL-Q in order to avoid the Runtime C++ error and thus the loosing of user settings.

Re: User settings not saved after upgrade
Hey, Fred!
Thanks for explaining, now I understand.
Do you still see Runtime C++ error when clicking [x] button?
I don't
When I clicking [x] button the window is closed, but the application does not quit. This is the expected behavoir. Just like in Yo2.
Ctrl+Q is the best way to exit YoWindow.

Hi Pasha,
Yes the Runtime error is still there when I use the [x] button.
Like you said the program doesn't close then, so when you close down the computer (Win7) it comes up with a Runtime C++ error.
This is still so on b3.

Hi Fred & Pasha,
I have no problem or error closing Yowindow b2 with the "X" on my WIN 7.
Perhaps you don't have the last update from C++

Re: User settings not saved after upgrade
Fred, so you see Runtime error in 2 cases.
1. When you click close [x] widow button.
2. When you shutdown Windows 7.
Correct?
Try to uninstall YoWindow 3 Alpha and then install it again.
Please let me know if you still experience the Runtime error.

Re: User settings not saved after upgrade
Hi Pasha,
I uninstalled b2 and installed b4.
Nothing's changed:
If I close down any other way then by Ctrl-Q, I get the runtime error upon closing down Windows (!).
So If I forget Ctrl-Q I'm in big trouble.
It doesn't matter if YoWindow 2 is running at the same time or not.
That's it, sorry.
