iGoogle: more space for "Ok", "Cancel"

Post by ikarus1969 »

Hi Pavel,

in the iGoogle-version, when adding a location, the last location in the combo-box that opens could be partly hidden behind the "Ok" and "Cancel"-buttons.
location partly hidden behind the "Ok" and "Cancel"-buttons
location partly hidden behind the "Ok" and "Cancel"-buttons
YoWindow - iGoogle - selecting location.jpg (52.15 KiB) Viewed 7201 times
would it be possible to move the two buttons a few pixels down?

Thank you!

Fixed now!

I have put OK and Cancel below the location selection list.

While I was digging through this error I have found another one.
YoWindow was hanging after switching from small to large view.
It is an error specific to internet explorer.
A really nightmare error - I've spent 4 hours trying to find out what's going on.
Now it also fixed.

Thanks for reporting!

As i know from my daily work from such errors we are learning the most. Isn't it satisfying to "catch" the error at the end?

Sure, that's the beauty of programming.
But it takes a lot of health from me :)

Just wondering, what do you do on your daily job?

I make my living as a programmer for 15 years now. Mostly for an austrian bank, but do the whole web thing too (html, css, javascript, ...).

Wow :))
I've been programming also for around 15 years, starting in school years on PC XT.

What program language do you use in the bank job?

Several of my collegues from my last job now work in the banks - Deutsch Bank, Saxo Bank (I'm not sure how to spell this)

We used to program in Cobol (the bank was BAWAG). At university i never could imagine that - everyone said "Cobol? Eeeeeeeee - keep your hands away from it!"

But like some people say "YOU make plans and LIFE makes surprises".
In my current company we do Cobol.Net; if we can convince our boss maybe we switch to C#.NET next year.

Can you remember Yahoo!Widgets? i played around with the flash you provide for Websites.

See how YoWindow does as a Widget (very first prototype):
YoWindow as a Yahoo!Widgets - Widget
YoWindow as a Yahoo!Widgets - Widget
YoWindow as a Yahoo!Widget.jpg (103.4 KiB) Viewed 7176 times
Maybe i play around with it on the weekend and add some preferences.
