Hey!
Sorry, daddylito, I don't know how to create RSS feed for phpBB forum.
Maybe you know how?
If this thing is easy to do, tell me how and I will setup RSS subscription.

I like your post about the Moon.
Now we have a very hard time.
The things you are asking for are quite complex.
I need time to think over how we can make the Moon better.
I will investigate the subject in a week or so.
Stay tuned.
Sorry.

Thank you, for your care.

Pasha.

Hi Pasha,

While your at concerning how to change the appearance of the moon, could you perhaps also consider adding moonrise and moonset times?

To daddylito: Very interesting post about the Lunar phases indeed.
I'm very much interested in the orbit, but must say I hadn't noticed the 'wrong' appearences of the moon.
Thanks for that.

Thanks in advance Pasha.

Regards,
Fred

I have added a task for myself to add moon rise/set times.
Just curious, why do you need it this information?

Hi Pasha,

For two reasons actually: One: I think it's more complete, since you do mention sunrise and sunset times.
And Two: I just like to watch the sky when it's dark enough and clear of course :) , therefore I like to know if the moon should be visible or not.

Thanks,
Fred

Hello!
Thanks for adding my location!

But a question:
What is the purpose of making a location the "home location", since the user always can select a location to view?
The home location icon might also hide some letters of the location name!(a very minor problem)
And if there is no location selected/specified, then do as you do now, go for the big apple!

Home location has a privillege status over other locations you add.

The home location is displayed in screen-saver.
Current conditions for the home location are displayed in Windows system tray.
Home location is selected after the program is restarted or opened from the tray.

Unfortunately we cannot make this thing clear from the interface.
Do you have an idea how to explain this to the users naturally?

Hello again!
I agree with you too keep a "home location" and I don't think you have to explain it!

A minor problem:
I have discovered that the application can change landscape from autumn to snow when temperture is +6 Celsius.
I used location "Östersund, Sweden" time nov 2, 22:11 and time nov 3 01:11

Please do also remove the text "hemma" (Swedish for "home") in the location text Sweden, Mellansel hemma

Hi!
Instead of sunrise and sunset times I would rather like to know, where on the sky (or perhaps behind the earth) the moon currently are, example:
Angle from north: 30 degrees
Angle from horizon: -3 degrees (rising)
The display of this information should be controlled with options and of course it could include sunrise and sunset times.

You can also extend the application to show where the planets are and show a correct view of the sky and it´s stars! (lol) :D

But seriously, the moon orbit (moon movement over the sky) is difficulty to illustrate in the Yowindow "landscape", so the actual values for the moon would be a nice x-mas gift,
as well as the same values for the sun!

YoWindow presentation of raining and snowing is excellent!

(hope you excuse my swenglish and bad spelling)

Your swenglish is wonderful :))

Frankly speaking, these features are special, most users don't want them.
We have planned a lot of cool features for YoWindow.
I'm sure you would like to have current weather from your personal meteostation reflected in YoWindow.
I have to choose.
I will probably provide YoWindow with sun and moon coordinates, but I cannot promise you.
And yes displaying actual stars and planets is a very advanced task for this small program.

Thank you for care.

Guys, please post each new topic in a separate forum topic.
Are we discussing "Subscription of board events" now?
