Dollar rain in some landscapes

Hi.
Very fond of this app. I have paid for it for Ipad as well as Android and PC.
But I wonder why there were dollar bills falling from the sky in several alndscapes during Easter?
Some american tradition or what, not known to me so far away as Denmark.
And - by the way -what does “NED” stand for as alias for cityscape?
