Other Browser Capability ?

Post by BostonHolly »

HP PC seems to be on last legs (2010 model purch. 8/2012) Running Windows 7 Home Prem. 64, don't use IE, F.Fox , Chrome, no Google search if avoidable. Instead- fairly satisfied w/Opera &DuckDuckGo. Must tweak a bit to use all YoW. but it's working well majority of time. QUESTION : Will YoW be offering wider access for use with other browsers in the future or is it even possible? Ok, my next Question is totally unrelated but there are so many Savvy people in the forums I'm hoping someone might know something or at least where I could go for help. MS, Intuit, Norton and other tech sites have not been able to help me. Having major problems with HP TS 420 PC right now- In mid-June w/no warning and for no reason (may be related to opening link from Amazon) I lost ability to open my Quicken files, 20 years of "still visible" files in C: drive , I also cannot open backup files in 2 external hard drives nor from downloaded files from NOBU Cloud. I've done Registry checks, memory checks, fixed "bad" sectors, cleared fies from D(partition) to stop "out of memory" popups, even quick restores. Also, problems with Outlook Home&Business and associated Windows Network issues: neither seem to be recognizing Main email account creds -" Access Denied. Server rejects Name&PW login creds". However, the same server accepts sub-email acct. creds. ??? And, both email accounts are accepted (obviously, same server, fairly close login credentials) & 1000's of emails are being downloaded into AOL.com webmail account - verizon sold email devision to AOL last year. Stuck with Verizon as ISP using DSL, 90% of Boston has no access to FIOS. Now I'm on what appears to be a 5th shite modem in 3 months. Copper LL, too, can't break away- have so many "grandfathered" free lines & accts. w/Fax line, unavailable thru RCN or Comcast.
