Flash Player - in general

I checked the boards for this question and have not seen it written this way, so I'll ask - is it the only way to use YW ? I read every day that it's such a security risk and is considered so archaic that FlashPlayer is being blocked by most sites and browsers are dropping it like crazy. I was in the process of uninstalling it and the process was at completion until it came to a halt -- YoWindows was the on ly "open" program holding up the uninstall. Weird because YoWindows was not currently open per se. I'd really hate to uninstall YoWindows, it's so unique and enjoyable but apparently it's the only progrom remaining on my PC which requires Flash Player. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. No, I don't intend to upgrade to W.10 anytime soon, did it on my other PC, it's adorable but I need a DVD drive and Microsoft has no right to force me to buy a new one when it's installed on the PC.
