Hi Rich,

On your YoWindow Desktop, click on Location > Properties.
Let us know your GeonamesID along with your location name and METAR icao code.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Rich,

Thanks for this info.

A couple more questions please:
1. What build are you using (Help/About)
Please state the first two lines, like YoWindow 3S, Build 168.
2. What happens when you choose Program/Set YoWindow as screensaver and then choose Example?
Does your screen build up the way it should or does it stay black too.
(It may take a little time before you see the screensaver screen).
3. What happens if you try other screensaver screens?
4. Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the desktop version?

Thanks in advance.
Fred

Hi Rich,

What happens if you make 'Village' or 'Seaside' your landscape?

Please give us some information about your computer.
Thank you in advance.

Hi Fred and Marty,
I have WIN 7.
I have YO 3S- Build 166
*When I use any other YO landscape, it's the same.
*When I go to settings, screen saver and use any other screensaver like photo, ribbons etc, etc, it works fine.
*If I hit YO and then preview,,,black screen
*If I hit YO and then settings,,,black screen
I have hesitated to delete YO and then download again because I had a lot of problems "getting the sky out"..But if that is the only solution left, then so be it.
Thanks guys...
Rich P
ps...isn't it amazing that I am in Florida, Fred in the Netherlands, Marty in Ohio and here we are chatting...to me......simply amazing!!!

I still think this has something to do with your firewall settings...

The screensaver is a different .exe than the program...

It resides in your 'windows' directory... (yowindow.scr)

Make sure it has permission to access the internet...

Go into the advanced options in your firewall...

Check if yowindow screensaver is allowed access...

Wally, I went to windows advanced firewall settings (options) and could not find YO in there as a program to allow or disallow,,,same in AVG...

1. Using 2 firewalls is not recommended...

2. I can see Yowindow in my AVG firewall settings...
