Different times

Post by CrazyDog »

As a screen saver, the date and time are correct with the computer. However, opening YoWindow from the desktop icon, the date/time is back by 25 hours.
The present date/ time is Nov 15, 2012 10h55 pm
The "icon" date/ time shows Nov 14, 2012 09h55 pm

I have 2 other computers, registered, and they show the correct info.

Thanks

Hi Richard,

Welcome to YoWindow.

I don't know/understand what's going on.
Maybe this can help you: http://yowindow.com/help.php#q13?

Goodluck.

The FAQ didn't help.
My computer time is accurate, automatically verified daily.
The present time is 6h21 pm Nov 16, 2012
Screen saver time is 6h21 pm Nov 16, 2012
However, if I manually open YoWindow, using the desktop icon, it will show

Have you tried to uninstall/install YoWindow?
Get YoWindow weather app for your phone or tablet.

May i ask for the location with which you are facing this problem?

Edit: ...and the version of YoWindow you are using - Thanks!

Hi!

i'm sorry but i can't reproduce the time-shift. When i set the location to Montreal in the desktop-edition i get the correct time as the "LIVE"-time. I checked with "heavens-above.com" (the window in the background of the following screenshot):
YoWindow - Montreal, Canada.jpg
If it's possible for you, can you try the latest release-candidate version b112 (you'll find on top of the forum main-page). Altough it's called release-candidate it's very stable.

I haven't paid much attention to YoWindows lately since I use it primarily as my screensaver. So I just opened the program, and the time was correct. Something must have corrected itself, and maybe that's why the house had no lights on (it's dark out). I slid the time back a few hours, brought it back to current, and voila!, the lights came on.
Strange but I'll live with it as is.
YoWindow is the BEST screensaver/weather forcaster around.
Thank you for your time and trouble.
