Thanks, guys!

-Tab key problem: this is the default behavior of Flash Player I seemed to have forgotted to block.
The yellow rectangle supposed to be a focus frame, like on a web-page or on Windows.
Will fix it soon ;)

-Marty, thanks for finding the problem with Millie clickability, I know where is it stems from, will be fixed.

-Yes, Billy helps Millie on weekends even in Tokyo

A lot of letters below, sorry :)

I have made a major changes to locations management UI.
When a user tries YoWindow for the first time, it is very important to ease location selection.

We are using location detection by IP.
However, this method is not accurate.

Consider a case when location was detected wrong by IP.
Previously, the new user had to select location manually and then to click Set As Home button.
It was not obvious.
I think many people were frustrated in such a case.
Many of them must have gone to Weather Bug or Gismeteo or whatever...

This is how I have solved the problem.
On the very first time, options page is opened, the user is presented with location-chooser.
There she sees location picked by IP.
Then she has either to confirm or make her choice.
After OK is pressed the location is set as home.
It all works just like in the big brother - desktop edition.

I need your help.
We need to make sure first time location selection is easy and works under any circumstances.
Please test location picking after YoWindow for Chrome was installed for the first time.

Network communication is not stable.
Our webserver can be down for some time, you know this.
Even in this case, YoWindow must not fall down and should handle connection problems gracefully.
A good way to test this is to turn Internet connection (WIFI) on/off temporary.

Both errors that were found by Marty and Fred are fixed.

Hi Pasha,

I have tested corrections on both WinXP and Win7. I now get the Millie tooltip from bridge to the tree and can make Millie fly. The Tab key does not show a yellow rectangle.

I do have a suggestion on Oriental. Today, Mount Washington is having 98 mph winds but there is a lot of fog so no visibility. Saturday or Sunday has a forecast of 50 mph winds. The tree shows no motion. I look at the evergreen in my backyard and with a 20 mph wind, there is motion. The cherry trees have no leaves on them so they would not show motion. But I think the evergreen should show motion.

I uninstalled and then installed Chrome on my WinXP. The first time thru after right click on the extension for options, the new location entry box displayed with set up your home location. So that worked okay.

On my Win7, I went into the Control Panel and disconnected my wireless connection. I then went into Chrome and the landscapes for all locations displayed. Only those locations that I had recently looked at displayed weather. I then went back to the Control Panel and reconnected the wireless connection. Everything worked on Chrome. I then cleared my cache and then went back to Chrome. Everything was working.

So for now, I have the one question. Should the evergreen show motion in the wind?

Good job :good:

Should the evergreen show motion in the wind?
Yep!
See the new build with the evergreen shivering to the wind.
It was one of the hardest features to do in Oriental.
Unfortunately the shaking of the branches is still not perfect, I hope we will improve it over time.
Pay attention that the visible motion starts at quite strong winds (around 10 m/s)

-Millie is 2 times bigger now.

-Kite motion is improved

Marty, thank you so much for testing Oriental and location setup UI!

Hi Pasha,

Millie and Billy look good at the increased size. The evergreen looks super. I was watching it during the 50 mph wind that is forecasted for Mount Washington and it was very realistic.

Great Job. :good:

Hey, Marty!
Thanks :)

Today I have made some major changes to weather updating algorithm.
It was not reliable under certain conditions.
Please pay attention to the way the weather is updated in the new build.

I have announced Oriental release for Monday.
I hope there are no major problems left in the new YoWindow for Chrome build.

Thanks for finding Amelie bug!
It was certainly an error (I have forgotten to rename a variable in the source code of YoWindow)

Hi Pasha,

I tried the new version of Chrome on both WinXP and Win7. I tried Fiesta and Amelie on every location landscape that I could. Mount Washington is fog and 0 visiblity so I could not try them there. They were both working as they should.

Right now, I have not seen any more errors.

Great Job. :good:
