Dear All,

Could someone help me out. I have a la crosse 3650 which is connected to windows XP and WUHU. The yowindow.xml created by WUHU is clean and copied to my webserver e.g. http://members.ziggo.nl/kanis01. I have also a crossdomain.xml in the root of the internet server. I tried to us a local yowidget.swf in my index.html but was not succesfull. It seems like yowindow did not use my yowindow.xml because of the time frame. Below i have a copy of my index.html. Is it maybe i have to use a different file location? e.g. /member/ziggo.nl/kanis01 ?

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://swf.yowindow.com/wimo/hpPal/hpPal.swf" width="1120" height="776">
<param name="movie" value="http://http://swf.yowindow.com/wimo/hpPal/hpPal.swf"/>
<param name="allowfullscreen" value="true"/>
<param name="wmode" value="opaque"/>
<param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF"/>
<param name="flashvars"
value="location_id=gn:2745912&location_name=Utrecht City Live&
current_weather_url=http://members.ziggo.nl/kanis01/yowindo ... =false&amp"
/>
<a href="http://yowindow.com/weatherwidget.php"
style="width:1045px;height:550px;display: block;text-indent: -50000px;font-size: 0px;background:#DDF url(http://yowindow.com/img/logo.png) no-repeat scroll 50% 50%;"
>Weather Widget</a>
</object>
</div>
<div style="width: 1045px; height: 15px; font-size: 14px; font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="float:left;"><a target="_top" href="http://yowindow.com?client=widget&link=copyright" style="color: #2fa900; font-weight:bold; text-decoration:none;" title="Free Weather Widget">YoWindow.com</a></span>
<span style="float:right; color:#888888;">Voorspelling door M. Kanis <a href="http://yr.no" style="color: #2fa900; text-decoration:none;">yr.no</a></span>
</div>

Hi Michiel,

I couldn't read all of your mail completely.
Somehow the text at the right is being cut off.
So excuse me if I ask something you already described.

I have copied your url with the PWS data into my desktop version of YoWindow.
Here I can read your data, which isn't actual by the way.

I can't really see what your problem is at the moment.
I have the feeling you have a non functioning widget, is that right?
If so, could we have a link to your site?
Perhaps this FAQ will help you also: http://yowindow.com/widget_and_pws.php

Thanks.
Fred

Hi Michiel :good:

You have to place the file crossdomain.xml in the root of the server http://members.ziggo.nl/

This is not allowed.
Your yowindow.xml is not good

Hi Fred and Herman,

Thanks for your reply! I saw that my mail was cloudy so copied my html again.
Indeed I was not aware of the fact that crossdomain file must be in the root of the server
so don't know how to solve that problem. I am sure the yowindow.xml is created and
distribute to my web server http://members.ziggo.nl/kanis01/index.html.
I downloaded a zip file with all yowindow files e.g. crossdomain.xml, yowidget.swf etc and
when i refer in my index.html to the local e.g. http://members.ziggo.nl/kanis01/yowidget.swf
there is no weather data shown in my website. Can i change the crossdomain file so I could
read my own weather data?

Thanks in advance,

Michiel

+ there is a copyright violation in your code...

It is NOT YOUR forcast...Het is niet jouw voorspelling...

But that of yr.no...Maar die van yr.no...

Please change your code accordingly...

For the XML-file...

Please find a hosting company that permits placing the .xml in the root...

Fred, herman,

Forgot to mention that my local installed yowindow application reads the yowindow.xml perfect.

Michel

http://www.hostinger.nl/ is a free hosting company.
Here you can place crossdomain.xml and your own yowindow.xml
