So, comparing YW with my old fashioned thermometer (and visual observation) and the windows weather app I conclude the following.
despite my location showing correctly (Utrecht) however, the temperature in YW shows 21 degrees Celsius with light showers. In actuality, the current temp is 30 degrees Celcius with not a drop of rain within miles.
That difference is just too big, noticed YW is getting inaccurate since a few weeks already but almost 10 degrees off? to much people, to much

From what I'm able to gather...

The closest metar station to Utrecht is Schiphol airport which is +/- 35Km away...

Perhaps that accounts for the huge differences especially in these very unstable weather situations the Benelux is in right now...

Problem is...I can't find any other stations closer...

De Bilt is one...but it seems there's no data coming from it...

Try changing the metar code to EHSB...

Perhaps this station is somewhat closer to where you are...(Soesterberg..?)

Thanks, the Soesterberg code is giving me the correct data. The program does give question marks for name and distance. Will keep an eye on it for a while. I think that the "De Bilt" station is commercial use only (they are the national weather center working mostly for the broadcasting organizations and things like military and air traffic)
