Hi Pasha,

The bicycles look good.
I wanted to test them at night.

The headlight is good.
But the little red tail light is missing.

This is a suggestion.
This past winter was very warm.
Thusly, there was a lot of bicycle riding.

Good job so far.

Thanks, Marty!
Bikes will show up in the winter as long as there are no snow.
Is this ok?

Where do you want the tail light to appear - under the seat or at the tail of the back wheel?

Hi Pasha,

On road bicycles that have no fenders, the red tail light is mounted to the seat post.
So under the seat would be good.

We follow this rule for winter bike riding.
Sunny day, no wind, and temperature above 35 Fahrenheit is good for riding.
But the occasional bike rider would probably appear at 45 Fahrenheit.

Work starts at 8:00 in the morning.
Some people ride their bicycles to work.

I hope this information helps you.

Hi Pasha,

A reply from the land of bicycles, 90% mounted at the tail of the back wheel.

Thank you, guys!
OK, so both options for red light are there.
And they seem depend on the country and the type of bike.
We are going to choose one of them.

The bikes start to appear after 7:00, so the people who ride to work will certainly be on time :)

Hi Pasha,

I just saw the Americana town in debug mode. One thing immediately caught my eye: it should be memoires instead of memoirs.

Hi Pasha can you make a rule for the bicycles, taking the wind direction into consideration,
riding with the wind goes a lot easier then riding against it.
Also the windspeed does do a lot to the way you make you progress and the effort you have to put into it.
In the Netherlands most of the tail lights are either build on the tail end of a rear-lugage rack
or on the splashbord over the rear wheel.
Putting it under the sadle does mean that the tail light get covered when you are wearing a longer
jacket whilst riding a bike.

Then also; riding a bike in the rain can mean you want to use an umbrella,
this is done quite a lot by grownups nowadays in The Netherlands, but certainly not by all of them.
For childeren it's nearly impossible to carry an umbrella during a bike ride,
as using only one hand to steer your bike makes it a pretty unstable ride.
So kids carrying an umbrella on their bike in the rain are not very likely.

btw, biking in snowy conditions is not at all uncommon in the Netherlands:
