b74 Release Candidate

Post by par »

We are going to release this version for Windows and Mac unless a major flaw found.

- FIXED: there's no sound when you click a bear.
You can test the surprise by scrolling to April 1.

Hi Pasha,

Sound is working fine now.

One thing I found: when scrolling forward in days with the right arrow, the scrolling is limited to 5 days.
I can pick April 1st from the calendar though.

Just to let you know.

Hi Pasha,

I have only been able to test on my Win10 tablet.
Win8.1 downloads and then a security scan removes or moves the download of the setup.exe.
I am going to try to refresh my Win8.1 in a few days.

Is there a signature or something missing from on the rc.exe?
As I was able to download b70 setup.exe perfectly.

On March 11th, there was a huge amount of Microsoft updates.
Plus Panda antivirus had an update.
Since then, when I try downloading an rc I am having problems.
The last 3 took at least 20 tries to download.
b74 has not yet been able to download without the security scan removing it.

On my Win10, RC b74 is working perfect.
The bear makes a sound when I tap on it.

Good job on RC b74!
Even if I can only test it in my Win10.

:good:

Thanks, Fred, I will have a look.
I used to move between the days with Ctrl-Right Arrow.

Marty, Panda is probably blocking YoWindow because there are not many people have downloaded it yet.
Otherwise I don't know any reason to block YoWindow for.

Ctrl-Right Arrow is working fine indeed.

I opened my laptop today after a few days of sleepmode (the laptop, not me).
It opened YoWindow on Sum March 27th (!).
Right Arrow (with mouse) couldn't get passed this date.

Just to let you know,
Fred

Hi Fred and Pasha,

Not being able to get passed March 27th is still a Daylight savings time issue.
This will happen again in October or November for the USA.

But of course.
That slipped my mind.

Thanks Marty.

Is this problem solved by restarting YoWindow?

No Pasha,

Unfortunately It remains after restart.
- Go to Sat, March 26th or any date before and try to press the right arrow with the mouse.
The date gets stuck at March 26th and won't scroll forwards.
- Try it with <ctrl>-right arrow key and the date will jump to Mon, March 28th, skipping Sunday the 27th.
(and back to Sat, March 26th with <ctrl>-left arrow key).
- Press on the current date and try to select March 28th, you can't.
It's as if Sun, March 27th doesn't exist.

I cannot reproduce this problem.
I'm navigating to March 26, then press right arrow and March 27 displayed.
As well as for any following day till April 1.

I can also select March 28 with Calendar.
I'm testing on Mac, though, latest beta version.
