Check out cats in Town landscape.
Yes, cats!
This is the first beta of this feature.
I have increased the number of cats intentionally so you could see more of them.
If it's not enough, press "S" key to add more cats.
I have made major modifications to YoWindow that may impact existing features.
Please let me know if you to notice any problems.
Especially in Town.
b71 Cats in Town!
Re: b71 Cats in Town!
Hi Pasha,
Such a funny feature!
I like it a lot
Two things I would like to comment:
1. The overall speed looks to high to me.
Both people and cats move a bit too fast I think.
2. I saw one grey cat.
Or rather I hardly saw it. The color is too similar to the pavement I think.
Thanks,
Fred

Re: b71 Cats in Town!
Hi Pasha,
This is the first build that will not download to my 16 gb Win8.1 tablet.
I had to do the testing on my 32 gb Win10 tablet.
I run YoWindow from the sd card on both.
So the .exe has just gone over a critical limit.
This is my opinion on the cats.
There are too many cats at one time.
They are moving too fast.
The gray cat and white cat can not be seen depending on the weather.
When there is snow, the white cat cannot be seen.
When there is no snow, the gray cat cannot be seen.
YoWindow needs puppy dogs.
I also need to be able to download to my 16 gb Win8.1 tablet.

Re: b71 Cats in Town!
Hi, friends, thanks for the feedback!
1. Marty, I don't know why YoWindow is not able to run on your tablet.
The size of YoWindow distribution is very small - under 15 MB.
2. The speed of cats.
People and cats are programmed to walk with variable speed.
This helps to make an impression they all different.
The cats may crawl at a very low speed, may walk, they may also run quickly.
I think they behave this way in the real life.
At this point I think the maximum speed of cats is plausible.
Anyway, I will think about this problem.
3. The speed of people.
For each person a random speed is picked up.
Some walk slowly, some walk with a regular speed.
And some look like they move unnaturally fast.
When the people were initially designed, there was an idea to make their motion look like in silent movies of 1900s.
But now we have boys, girls that look contemporary...
Probably we should change the maximum speed that makes the people look unnatural.
I'm afraid to break the spirit of the landscape.
So far there were almost no complaints regarding this problem.
So still, I want to keep things as they are at the moment.
And. We would not be able to make the people look real ever.
Because YoWindow is a 2D graphics app.
The people turn instantly by the corner
We are pretending this is the real world.
4. Cat colors
Yep, the white cat is hard to see on snow and the gray cat is hard to see over the ground.
That's how the life works.
I wonder if our users to be disappointed?
5. Dogs.
Yes.
We already have a dog drawn.
Should we name it Rascal?
It would take time to add dogs because this effect requires a leash and synchronising dog and the owner motion.
Stay tuned.

Re: b71 Cats in Town!
Will the dogs be able to chase the cats?
I'm joking

Re: b71 Cats in Town!
Hi Pasha,
I was just now able to download yosetup.exe on my Win8.1 tablet.
Panda Security was neutralizing YoWindow as a virus.
Panda had a new update after the b70 build.
I was able to get it out of quarantine.
YoWindow b71 is now running.
Yes. Rascal would be appropriate.
And I love Fred's question.

Re: bII Cats in Town!
Love the cats!
However... occasional dog-walkers would be good.
But not too many.
Dog idea - random 'cat' colours, and two designs; terrier and dachshund.
If cat encounters dog, it runs away for a short distance, then back to random cat things.
Dogs ignore cats. (they're well-behaved!)
Dog-walker is any adult character.
Dog walkers do not visit shops or cafe.
Dog walkers move left and right but do not move from foreground to background. (for simplicity)
Children do not walk dogs. (for simplicity)
Dog walkers also use umbrellas.
I also have comments about umbrellas and ambulances!

Re: b71 Cats in Town!
Cats hate rain!
They hide when it rains, so perhaps no cats should be seen at those times?
I promise I am done with comments for now!

Re: b71 Cats in Town!
Thanks for the detailed and structured ideas.
I wish I could make them to reality right on.
Unfortunately, it takes time and patience to improve the graphics and the logic of YoWindow system.
I will be using your post for the reference.
Yes we need to adjust cats to the rain conditions.
