Hi

I have made a little program (16 bit dos) that reads La Crosse WS3600 and translate it to YOWINDOW.XML
You can run it with all windows platform. You have to start the program with the taakplanner
If you are interesting reply to this post.

The next version can read different WS files and combine it to YOWINDOW.XML

Hey, Herman, and welcome!

We are super interested!

If you need any help from me, don't hesitate to ask.

I have added a new forum for La Cross Weather stations.
viewforum.php?f=21

Please share your software in this forum.

I wish you to write a small tutorial on how to use and install your software.
We will publish it in our FAQ to let every La Crosse owner enjoy the most up to date weather out YoWindow.

What language do you program?

Is La Crosse a French company?

Thank you!

Hi

The program is written in Clipper 5.2c (with Funcky.lib).
La Crosse can you find at http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/company.php

HeavyWeather.exe produced a file with the name :currdat.lst.
copy this file e.g to currback.lst. You have to do this , Heavyweather can hangs.
run myweer.exe
Then you get the file YOWINDOW.XML.
This file can you place on the root of your website.

You can use the batchfile uitvoer.bat for copy, run and ftp
------------------------------------------
copy currdat.lst currback.lst /a
myweer.exe
ftp -n -s:uitvoer.txt hermanz.nl

------------------------------------------

for the ftp you need the scriptfile uitvoer.txt
--------------------------------
username
password
bin
cd /httpdocs
put Yowindow.XML
bye

--------------------------------

run the batchfile uitvoer.bat with the Windows Task Scheduler every 10 minutes.

My own version can read three files and combine the weather details together.
1) WS3600
2) ftp://ftp.knmi.nl/pub_weerberichten/tab ... _data.html (BILT). This is a Meteorological Institute in Holland
3) building management system. (university utrecht)
This version is not ready to be published

Herman

Hi
If have made some modification.

You start with myweer.exe
If you placed ftp.txt and filled with the right parameters, than the program puts YOWINDOW.XML with ftp to your website.

if there is no currdat.lst then you get a error message
'myweer versie' gives the version of the program

Greeting
I write all that I can help and I finally begin to send their data to yowindow. I took off ws3600 zip, but not to start appearing on the data yowindow.Moji data sent from Heavy Weather in VWS, and further information is sent over the root of my website, www.pljusak.com/trnovec1/wx.htm. I no longer have the nerves to deal with it, I'm disappointed for me it is too complicated. We did all the hackers, it all has to be simple and sensible for us ordinary amateurs.

Hello guys
I have read e-mail, and give an answer.
I look forward to what will be around to fix ws3600 - Yowindow.
I am very happy, which I will be able to send their data to Yowindow. Now coming from Maribor and a large difference is 67 km from Trnovac.
Sending data that is Pavel asked. Windows version,
System: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3.
Here, I know a lot of people would benefit Yowindow, but he is much complicated to connect. Now when it starts to send data to Yowindow and when I tell them I'm sure there will be several members from the Croatian. I constantly monitored forum, but I have a lot of time at work, so I'm not a one time appeared.
I asked her and the man who keeps my server, he told me that there will be problems with sending data to yowindow. And it's furnished. Specifically server keeps our organization, "CROMETEO. ;) :)

Greetings from sunny South Africa :-)

First comment, what a GREAT application! Next point is that although not yet installed, I too have a La Crosse weather station and will be keen to integrate with YoWindow. Next point is that visiting Herman site(sorry but I only speak English - originally from UK; RSA since 1982) I noticed a display that included 'dew point'. Please excuse my ignorance but how / what to do to obtain this information? Is it from the PWS? Can YoWindow display using METAR data?

I have LOTS to learn but am having FUN so BIG thank you to all for the FANTASTIC efforts in making all (weather) related things possible!

Very best regards to all

Hi Nigel

The Dewpoint is a parameter. PWS generates this.
English is no problem.
I have made a interfaceprogram that genereate a file YOWINDOW.XML . This does'nt works if you use the screensaver. For a website it can be very useful.

Nigel, thank you very much for the compliments!

Herman, please tell me how soon you are going to create a program for La Crosee that will work with screensaver?
We need this program, many people want to load La Crosse weather to YoWindow.
