Dutch translation

Post by nico »

I think the dutch translator did a good job!

One request though;
in the inspector window there is the 'daily rain' translated as 'regenhoeveelheid per dag' this is commonly referred to as 'neerslag per dag'. This text would be a lot shorter and thus reduce the inspector window size.

Can this be updated, what do other dutch users prefer?
best regards
Nico

hi Nico

You are right
'neerslag per dag' seems me better then 'regenhoeveelheid per dag'
(Wheather on an I(phone,pad,pod) or Android, YoWindow what else )

Hi Nico and hermanz,

I also think that" Neerslag per dag" is a better and shorter way for the translation.

So we will made the change.

Thanks for your reaction.

And a rather small one. 'Knoten' as wind velocity should be 'knopen'.

I agree, it is a good working well translated useful program. My compliments for both of you.

Hi and thanks for the translation.

I noticed a few things checking out nl.xml

-Incorrect spelling for the month of October, should be Oktober.

- In my opinion Even Geduld A.U.B would look better.

Code: Select all

 - <trans-unit id="240" resname="IDS_WAIT_PLEASE">
  <source>Wacht a.u.b.</source>

- This hasn't been translated yet.

Code: Select all

- <trans-unit resname="IDS_LANDSCAPE_WIZARD_IMPORT_PICTURE_PAGE_COMMENT">
  <source>Specify a picture you want to turn into landscape.</source>
  </trans-unit>

Code: Select all

 - <trans-unit id="076" resname="IDS_DIALOG_LANGUAGE_CHANGE_TEXT">
  <source>You will have to restart the application for this to take effect</source>
  </trans-unit>

Sorry, forgot one.

- In the Menu - Programma

Verlaat

Sluiten would be better IMO.

Hi,

I do agree that, although it's a very good translation, some things could be improved (as always I guess).
I did send Paul a PM some time ago about having some things re-translated.

I haven't received an answer so far.

If necessary or welcomed, I'm willing to make some changes.

I would very much appreciate Paul's view on this.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Fred,

Sure I like to see if some things can be improved! And some things afterwards can be better translated regarding the context where they have to be in.
I appreciate your comments on this.
Send me the file with your changes Fred if you like.
