Re: PWS: Weather Display Template

Jose,

You can implement the template that is in the first post of this thread, then you can experiment with whichever tags you wish. No need to ask Brian to change anything.

Re: News and Changes

Pasha,

I just added that file and all seems to be well now with all the weather data matching. I'll watch that page as conditions change, but I'm sure everything is fine now. Just another small "growing pain" and good that you could find the answer so quickly.

Re: PWS: Weather Display Template

Excellent changes! I looked for metric tags like those, but apparently missed them. Guess the eyes are getting old.

Thanks for doing that. - Jim

Re: News and Changes

Pasha, Is there a chance that the .php extension of my script is a problem? I have this <param name="flashvars" value="location_id=gn:5262113¤t_weather_url=http://jcweather.us/yowindow-xml.php&time_format=12&unit_system=us&background=#FFFFFF"/> but it doesn't seem to be working because I see d...

Weather Display Template

This is a template that will work for some Weather Display users. To work correctly, your WD units in the "Web Page" portion of "Units/Other Settings" must be set to those that YoWindow expects, so this will only be useful for those who normally use those same units. Using notepad, copy this templat...

Re: HTML from remote PWS

dadylito, What you are asking is certainly possible, but it would be a custom script for just that one site and not good for anywhere else. Then, even though you say the page is stable, if the author were to make any changes, it's likely that you'd need to start all over again. I'd recommend that yo...

Re: Will Weather Underground give us the data?

Pasha, I thought that Wunderground would be inadequate for your needs, that's why I didn't bring it up before. I don't think there would be a problem with an individual using their own station data for their own use (with credit given), but as a general "mode of operation" for YoWindow not a good so...

Re: New b225: <description> to report weather description text

Pasha, Those are very nice changes and the script is updated at http://jcweather.us/yowindow-xml.php?sce=view . It seems to be working great in my YoWindow. I have to work on getting my icon to work better, especially at night. I have my WD configured to use METAR cloud conditions at night but it is...

Re: Will Weather Underground give us the data?

Pasha, Ken True did some investigation when many of us wanted to use the WU radar maps, and I think this would be a similar situation. You can see the documentation of his effort at http://saratoga-weather.org/scripts-WUradar.php#WUradar . If you are at all uncomfortable, probably best that you cont...

Re: Now PWS data are backed by METAR, Download RC 224

Pasha, I just tried the new version and it noticed that I didn't have visibility, so it added it from METAR which is perfect. But, it also used the METAR sky conditions even though I had them in the xml. <response> <current_weather> <temperature value="-4.8"/> <humidity value="0.96"/> <pressure valu...
